Meghan Markle says Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge made her cry in Oprah Winfrey interview
Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, made her cry just before her 2018 wedding.
Speaking on US station CBS, the Duchess of Sussex denied a newspaper story that she had made Catherine cry, and said it was a turning point in her relations with the media.
“That was a turning point,” the duchess said. Asked if she made Catherine cry, Meghan replied: “The reverse happened.”
“A few days before the wedding, she [Catherine] was upset about something — yes, the issue was correct, about the flower girl dresses — and it made me cry. And it really hurt my feelings,” Meghan said.
She said Catherine had apologised to her, and she had forgiven her.
