Former teammate insists Folau’s bid to return to NRL comes with too much ‘excess baggage’ – Fox Sports
Israel Folau’s former Wallabies’ teammate Drew Mitchell believes the out of work star comes with too much baggage for any team in either code to sign him.
The former Storm and Broncos star is training in Brisbane in the hope of receiving an NRL lifeline after his stint with the Catalans Dragons came to an end.
Mitchell has no doubt Folau would be an asset for any club on the field, but his religious views, especially those against homosexuality are not in line with the values of modern sport.
