Police car ‘peppered with bullets’ as man allegedly fires on officers, homes near Lismore
Twelve police officers and six local residents have been forced to seek refuge during a shooting incident in New South Wales’ northern region.

- Residents were told stay indoors and one household was advised to relocate to the bathroom after smelling fire
- A 63-year-old man has been charged and is due to face Lismore Local Court on Monday
At about 9pm yesterday police from the Richmond district were called to an address in Dunoon, 20 kilometres north west of Lismore, amid reports a man was firing shots at a home on Rayward Road and another on Duncan Road.
Soon after their arrival, the situation escalated.
