Teacher pledges to shave his hair in support of wife

Noosa District State High School Sport Coordinator Ron Greentree has pledged to shave his head next Friday if the school raises $1000 to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s Shave for a Cure.
Mr Greentree’s wife, Eumundi State School teacher Colleen Greentree, was diagnosed with breast cancer last November and has started to receive treatment that has resulted in the loss of her hair.
Mr Greentree addressed the Year 11 cohort at their parade this morning and passionately implored the students to support his fundraising efforts.
“My wife found losing her hair a very traumatic experience, and I want to do something to show my support,” he said.
