Jury finds ‘medicine man’ Joseph Luke Williams guilty of 12 sex assault charges against six women
Former tour guide Joseph Luke Williams has been found guilty of a dozen sex assaults on six women after a nine-day trial in a West Australian court.
Williams, 58, who was accused of falsely representing himself to his victims as an Aboriginal elder who could heal trauma, improve fertility and repel stalkers, maintained his innocence throughout the trial.
He faced 12 counts of sexual penetration without consent and two counts of indecent assault in the trial at Albany District Court.
The 11-person jury acquitted Williams of one count of sexual penetration without consent and one count of indecent assault.
