Canberra man charged with possessing piglets stolen from Yarralumla children’s zoo found not guilty

A man accused of keeping four stolen piglets in the backyard of a Canberra home has been cleared of all charges, after a magistrate found it could not be proven he lived at the house where they were found.

Owen Van Duren, 39, was arrested after police discovered the stolen piglets in a backyard in Deakin a week after they were stolen from the Yarralumla Play Station.

They used a drone to confirm the piglets’ presence in the backyard
