Woolworths set to open first Queensland ‘dark store’ at Rochedale, in Brisbane’s south

The pandemic boom in online grocery shopping means Queensland will soon have its first “dark store” in Rochedale, in Brisbane’s south.

Woolworths’ Rochedale Customer Fulfilment Centre will be a 10,000-square-metre warehouse where personal shoppers can pick and pack grocery orders from across Brisbane.

Similar dark stores are operating in Lidcombe, Mascot and Brookvale in Sydney and West Footscray in Melbourne, with Woolworths’s first Queensland site at the Rochedale Motorway…
