The Australian Red Cross has issued an urgent appeal for blood donors to cope with a backlog in elective surgeries and a drop in donations.
The service says it needs 22,000 people to donate blood across
Australia in the next two weeks.“At the moment, we need all blood types, but the call out in particular is for O neg, A neg, B neg and A positive donors.” – Australian Red Cross, Rebecca Ind.
