Police reveal Sydney bikie gang links as Coast cold case is reopened

Police and family today made a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward in the cold case murder investigation of Gold Coast father of two, Omega Ruston, shot dead in a road rage incident at Burleigh on Australia Day 2009.

The 32-year-old Gold Coast construction worker, who at the time had a seven-year-old daughter and newborn son, was driving along the highway with two friends at Burleigh Heads around 10.25pm on Australia Day when he was involved in a vehicle incident then shot dead.
