Rock fishermen washed off rocks on WA’s south coast not believed to have been wearing life jackets

Police believe two men rock fishing on WA’s rugged south coast were not wearing life jackets when they were swept into the ocean by a wave on Saturday afternoon.

- Authorities are also searching for a man whose car was found abandoned at Ledge Beach
One of the men, a 23-year-old, was pulled from the water off Mermaid Point, near Cheynes Beach, by Albany Sea Rescue, but the other, an 18-year-old, remains missing.
A search for the teenager resumed on Sunday morning with several aircraft, vessels and personnel patrolling the coastline about 50 kilometres east of Albany.
