The Gold Coast Suns and AFL have been forced to apologise after photos from Wacky Wednesday celebrations in 2013 show two players dressed in blackface.
Joel Wilkinson was playing for the club at the time and reported the incident but says it was swept under the rug and the duo involved faced zero repercussions.
Current and former Suns players Alex Sexton and Leigh Osborne have apologised over the incident which was brought to light this week by their ex-teammate Wilkinson.
