Pogacar given a 10-second penalty at the UAE Tour for getting a push – CyclingTips
Pogacar and Polanc both received 10-second time penalties at the UAE Tour after Polanc gave Pogacar a push in the finale of stage 6.
Tadej Pogacar retained his overall lead at the UAE Tour on Friday as he finished stage 6 with the bunch, but his rivals are 10 seconds closer to his GC time nonetheless.
After the stage, commissaires gave Pogacar and his UAE Team Emirates teammate Jan Polanc 10-second time penalties for the act of “pushing another rider.” Polanc gave Pogacar a push forward in the stage finale, just a little ways behind the sprint battle at the front of the field, won by Sam Bennett (Deceuninck-Quick-Step).
