Group CEO Alan Joyce says flights WILL resume this year – with trips to New Zealand increasing ‘materially’ in months.

Qantas has raised hopes of Australias international border opening by October 2021 as the airline announced it is planning for a restart.
Giving a statement on the airlines half-year results, Group CEO Alan Joyce reported a significant half year loss of one billion for the six months to the end of December 2020.
These figures are stark, but they wont come as a surprise, Joyce said. Border closures meant we lost virtually 100 per cent of our international flying and 70 per cent of our domestic flying.
