More SEQ showers as parts of Queensland see highest rainfall in months

The Gold and Sunshine coasts also received high totals, with Tallebudgera and Caloundra seeing 76 millimetres and 66 millimetres respectively.
Residents in central Queensland around Springsure, south of Emerald, saw some of the highest totals after months without significant rainfall.
“That area’s had a tonne of rain and it never stopped storming … some rainfalls exceeded 100 millimetres,” Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Livio Regano said.
“That whole area for the last three months has been very much below average rainfall – there hasn’t been good rain there.
“They will be really happy.”
Mr Regano said it was possible an alert would be reissued for the region as storms could remain.
