PM of Papua New Guinea says his country wants an NRL team by 2025 – Fox Sports
The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape, has revealed his country is aiming to have an NRL team by the year 2025.
Expansion is a hot topic with the NRL set to make a decision later this year to increase its number of clubs to 17 with the inclusion of a second Brisbane team scheduled for 2023.
Now Papua New Guinea, whose government recently signed a sports partnership agreement with Australia, could be next.
