Disney+ slaps offensive content warning on The Muppet Show – PerthNow
Fans of long-time family favourite The Muppet Show are being warned they may be confronted with ‘mistreatment of people or cultures’.

Disney have labelled their program The Muppet Show racist and are now prefacing their episodes with a content warning.
Anyone choosing to watch the show on the Disney+ streaming service will be met with a content warning that tells viewers the program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures.
These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now, the warning reads.
Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation…
