When South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett signed Benji Marshall he knew he was getting so much more than just a premiership-winning playmaker.
He knew that the 35-year-old wouldnt be afraid to speak his mind and challenge both his teammates and Bennett something not many players would be game enough to do.
But with 324 NRL games to his name, 31 caps for New Zealand, a premiership and a Golden Boot award, Marshall has done more than earn the right to have a bit of authority at training.
