Fraudsters continue to take advantage of people’s desperation to get the jab as soon as possible, West Midlands Police warned
Residents are being warned not to become a victim of Covid vaccine scams after thousands were made by con artists in the West Midlands.
West Midlands Police said fraudsters looking to “take advantage of peoples desperation” to get the jab as soon as possible with more than £3,500 made by scammers in the region.
The force said it had received 26 reports of people being tricked into handing over cash after receiving a fake vaccine invitation since the turn of the year.
