Inland house prices are booming but still a steal compared to big cities, data shows
Australias regional housing markets continue to boom as the COVID-19 pandemic adds to the desirability of leaving the big smoke, and while attention has focused on high-profile coastal regions such as Byron and Noosa, many inland areas are also rocketing.The regions were the big success story of 2020, with prices jumping 7.9 per cent — more than four times the 1.7 per cent growth rate recorded across the combined capital city regions.
