Sunshine Coast grandma charged by aged care provider Envigor for touching sensor mat

An aged care provider is under investigation after a Sunshine Coast grandmother was charged thousands of dollars for simply getting out of bed.
Betty McDowall, 90, who lives by herself at a Caloundra retirement village, receives a government home care package but pays home care service provider, Envigor, for additional support.
After she suffered a fall, the company placed a sensor mat next to her bed that triggered an alarm and automatically billed the grandmother every time it was stepped…
