QLD COVID wastewater samples put suburbs on alert – including Caloundra and Shelly Beach

Twenty-three Queensland suburbs have been placed on high alert for signs of coronavirus after wastewater testing found fragments of the virus.
The routine analysis on Saturday uncovered traces of COVID-19 in the Kawana catchment.
Queensland Health says the catchment receives sewage from 23 suburbs.
Fragments may be a result of previously diagnosed cases “shedding” the virus.
But it could also mean there are undetected cases in the community.
