Liam Thorp was surprised to find out he qualified for a priority Covid-19 vaccine in the United Kingdom but not as surprised as being told he was only 6.2 centimetres tall.
The health blunder which should have correctly recorded him as being 6 feet 2 inches tall (188cm) also recorded him as having a body mass index (BMI) of 28,000.
Although BMI is not a perfect measure, generally speaking, a 18.524.9 recording is considered to be a normal weight, while a BMI of 30 and over is classed as obese.
