Cairns stabbing leaves man, 25, dead outside apartment block

A man has been stabbed to death outside an apartment block in Cairns, with a woman arrested by police.

The 25-year-old man was found dead outside the Manoora unit complex just before midnight on Friday, having been stabbed with a knife.

A 21-year-old Mareeba woman, who was known to the man, was located nearby and arrested. She is yet to be charged.

Police allege the man and woman had earlier in the evening travelled from Trinity Beach to the unit complex in a taxi.
