Heather Reid loses spot on Football Australia board after narrow vote in extraordinary general meeting – Sydney Morning Herald
Reid was elected to the FA board at the 2018 AGM – when former chairman Steven Lowy left his post – and her term was due to expire in November this year.
																								
												
												
											 In an environment when womens football is at the centre of Football Australias post COVID-19 recovery the outcome of this vote is both a personal blow and a blow to other women who aspire to be leaders in our sport and to effect change for the good of the game.
After serving football for most of my life I know the momentum behind the rise in womens football is unstoppable and young women can be confident that our sport will reach its full potential. While I will no longer be a director of Football…
