Sunnybank siege continues as police negotiate with armed man for more than 20 hours
Police have worked through the night to negotiate with man who is armed inside a home with several people, in Brisbane’s south.
Emergency services were called to Dyson Avenue in Sunnybank about 10:30am yesterday and quickly cordoned off the area.
Acting Inspector Mick Ackery gave little detail yesterday on what weapon the man has and who is inside.
He said police attended the property earlier in the day before the incident occurred.
Acting Inspector Ackery said it was a “fluid and dynamic” situation and police were working to reach a peaceful resolution.
