According to the annual Edelman Trust Barometer survey, also released on Friday, trust in major institutions received a significant bump during the pandemic, hitting an all-time high. Australia recorded the largest gain globally (up by 12 points) from among 28 countries.
There were significant gains for business (up 11 points), government (up 17 points), NGOs (up 8 points) and the media (up 12 points).
