An outage caused widespread issues with Optus calling and data services as well as some ANZ services on Thursday.
Optus said the issue was affecting mobile network in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
On Thursday morning, users started reporting intermittent issues with EFTPOS and credit card services and asked ANZ on Twitter how long it would last.
ANZ payment terminal services were unavailable during the outage.
