Michelin chef slams ‘worst kind of guest’ in viral rant – 9Honey

After weeks of restaurants reporting no-show guests amid devastating capacity restrictions, a top London chef has publicly taken aim at the actions of ‘the worst kind of guest’.
Tom Kerridge, head chef of London’s Michelin-star Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, typed an open letter to 27 “no show” guests who’d failed to turn up to their Saturday night bookings, in a post seen by his 428,000 followers.
The emotional post doesn’t identify the culprits, but does slam their actions as “selfish”, and outline the heart-breaking consequences of not showing up.

“To the 27 people that booked @kerridgesbandg and then failed to turn up on a Saturday night…” the message started.
“This industry, like many others is on the verge of collapse. Your behaviour is disgraceful, shortsighted and down right unhelpful.”
Kerridge then said no shows are adding to the raft of issues already facing venues and “putting peoples jobs more at risk
