JBL Australia have announced a new addition to their soundbar series with the JBL Bar 9.1. The new wireless soundbar offers JBL’s signature sound with an addition of Dolby Atmos without any wired connections to the source.
The Bar 9.1 creates a surround sound experience with four upward-facing Dolby Atmos drivers. These drivers use room reflections to bounce audio at you from all angles and along with the two battery powered detachable wireless rear speakers bouncing sound off the ceiling and the back of the room promises to bring sound to a new level.
This 360 degree sound is a result a whopping 820 watts of total system power. Also included in the JBL Bar 9.1 package is a 10-inch powered subwoofer to provide some heavy punchy bass.
Along with Dolby Atmos support the Bar 9.1 supports Dolby Vision for that amazing 4K picture and Chromecast and Airplay 2 for streaming music from your phone to the system.
The Bar 9.1 is a “professional, cutting-edge” audio system that is now available to the average user. With this level of audio and of course the relative pricing it is aimed at audiophiles looking for a great system for their living room.
The JBL Bar 9.1 is available now from Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi for $1,499.95.
