Hinchinbrook Island cocaine discovery sparks warning to public against consuming product

People who find further packages of white powder washed up on beaches in Queensland’s far north have been warned not to consume the substance.

Ten packages of what’s believed to be cocaine has been found by beach walkers at at Ramsay Bay, Hinchinbrook Island, on Sunday.

Each of the packs weighs about a kilogram.

Forensic analysis is being conducted on the powder.
