Unfortunately I cannot release any information on the financial cost to council and the community of this decision, as the councillors who voted in support of the motion also included a gag on releasing the cost details, he said.
Its my view that the community has a right to know this cost, but for the time being we are prevented from disclosing this information, but it is considerable.
The vote was held at a special council meeting behind closed doors on Monday night.
None of the councillors who voted in favour of sacking Mr Schneider responded to requests for comment.
A state government spokeswoman said the employment and management of chief executives was a matter for councillors.
Mr Schneider was appointed in February last year, having held a senior local government role in Perth.
