As Tabcorp plays a straight bat on the future of its wagering business, legendary bookie Matt Tripp is still circling.

The bigger the deal (or deals) Tripp can secure, the bigger his reward in performance rights and potentially options will be.
But crucially, he is working with BetMakers on an exclusive basis in the B2B segment of the wagering business, leaving the door open for him to play some role in the fun at Tabcorp.
Tripp was keeping his cards close to his chest on Wednesday, saying only he was watching the situation closely and declaring perhaps a touch cheekily he saw a role for BetMakers to offer its technology…
