Falls Festival organisers have cancelled their Marion Bay event in southern Tasmania, but say they are still planning to go ahead in New South Wales, Victoria and WA.

Falls Festival organisers have cancelled their Marion Bay event in southern Tasmania, in another blow to the state’s New Year calendar.
Organisers confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday, saying they had made the “difficult decision” after “much consideration”.
“During these unprecedented times, and like most industries, we must adjust our business operations to allow us the best opportunity for long-term viability,” the statement read.

The statement said festivals in New South Wales, Victoria and WA were still planned to go ahead.
