Sunshine Coast man claims torture of homeless teen was part of sexual relationship
A man who held a homeless teenager captive in Queensland bushland and tortured him for three days claimed the victim’s injuries were from sexual activity.
Michael James Sculac, 50, has been found guilty of torture after a District Court trial in Maroochydore.
Sculac denied holding the 19-year-old homeless man hostage at a Noosaville campsite near Eenie Creek in March 2019.
But prosecutors alleged the teen was lured by Sculac and an accomplice to the camp to buy methamphetamine.
