While on patrol in the vicinity of Darwin, French Navy Vessel (FNS) Vendémiaire operated in company with ABFC Cape Wessel, HMAS Larrakia and HMAS Armidale. At the time of the activity, ABFC Cape Wessel, HMAS Larrakia and HMAS Armidale were assigned to Maritime Border Command (MBC).
MBC is Australia`s lead civil maritime security authority which deploys assets and personnel from both the Australian Border Force and the Defence Australia to safeguard Australia`s maritime jurisdiction.
