Bigwig bookie Matt Tripp buying into ASX-listed Betmakers – The Australian Financial Review
Big name bookmaker Matthew Tripp is set to take a $25 million stake in listed Australian wagering software and data services company Betmakers.
Tripp could not be reached for comment prior to publication. Betmakers has told shareholders to expect news of a capital raising and entry into material agreements on Wednesday.
Betmakers is a $600 million listed Australian company that provides data analytics and content for bookmakers globally, and distributes racing content. The companys share price has doubled in the past year, thanks to strategic acquisitions and its growing footprint, particularly in servicing the United States.
