Folau requests meeting with NRL and ‘several clubs’ are ‘keen’ on chasing axed star – Fox Sports
Controversial football star Israel Folau has reportedly requested a sit-down with the NRL to discuss whether he may be allowed back in the competition.
Channel 7 reporter Michell Bishop broke the news on Tuesday that Folau wants to meet with Australian Rugby League Commission chairman Peter Vlandys and NRL boss Andrew Abdo face-to-face to see whether he has a future in the code.
Folau is contracted to Super League club Catalans Dragons but they are said to be keen to offload him if he finds a deal in Australia.
