GP: Victoria’s quarantine proposal sounds like a “far more civilised” place to isolate
The potential development of a Howard Springs-style quarantine centre in Victoria was welcomed by John Parker, a GP with special interest in infectious diseases.
Dr Parker has worked to manage outbreaks of diseases like Ebola and Cholera overseas, and has been involved in developing quarantine and testing procedures for COVID-19, including working on the Diamond Princess and Ruby Princess cruise ship outbreaks.
