Teenage boy hit by bus and killed outside South Australia’s Balaklava High School

A 13-year-old boy has been fatally hit by a bus at Balaklava in South Australia’s mid north.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 3:20pm after receiving reports of a pedestrian being hit by a bus.
The collision happened at the corner Wallace Street and May Terrace, outside the Balaklava High School.
Police earlier said that initial reports suggested there were serious injuries, before confirming the boy had died.
“Sadly the pedestrian, a 13-year-old local boy, died at the scene,” police said.
SA Police Major Crash investigators are currently at the scene of the incident.
Police have said the intersection will remain closed as an investigation is carried out, and have asked drivers to avoid the area.
