Victorian farmers learn cost to quarantine overseas workers for harvest

Victorian farmers battling workforce shortages will need to pay $2,000 towards the quarantine costs of each worker they bring in from the Pacific Islands.

The Victorian and Tasmanian governments had previously announced a deal whereby Victoria would quarantine 330 Tasmanians returning from overseas in return for up to 1,500 Pacific Island workers completing quarantine in Tasmanian hotels.
