Novak Djokovic has remained coy about a mystery injury that supposedly saw his Australian Open participation hang in the balance –
The defending champion in Melbourne had reported a torn muscle in his abdomen during his five-set win over Taylor Fritz in the previous round and claimed to have had no preparation coming into the subsequent clash with the big-serving Canadian Raonic.
But many players, including Nick Kyrgios, have suggested that Djokovic has exaggerated his injury of the last two days, while Serena Williams coach Patrick Mouratoglou admitted the world number one often pretends hes giving up to try and fool opponents.
