Thiem’s ‘really bad day’ ends AO title hopes

Bulgarian star Grigor Dimitrov has stunned last year’s US Open winner Dominic Thiem with a straight sets victory in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
Dimitrov, who’s ranked 21st in the world, and seeded 17 at this tournament, found himself down a break in each of the first two sets before rallying each time to win 6-4 6-4 6-0. The Bulgarian needed just 21 minutes in the third set to seal the match, with Thiem looking far from his best.
Twenty-nine-year-old Dimitrov will now play in the quarter-finals…
