Australians want more regulation of Big Tech, and they are more likely to support regulation when Big Tech makes threats, a study finds.

Over 1000 Australians across age groups were asked questions related to the media bargaining code and the operation of online platforms in an online survey.
Asked Does Googles threat to shut down Australian Google search make you more or less likely to support the media bargaining code, 34 per cent of voters said it made them more likely, 23 per cent of voters said they would be less likely, and the remainder (44 per cent) said they were uncertain.
