WA election: Dawesville is where Opposition leader Zak Kirkup must win hearts and minds to hang onto seat
A little slice of coastal paradise about 80 kilometres south of Perth will be one of WA’s most important election battlegrounds, with Opposition Leader Zak Kirkup fighting to hang onto the second-most marginal Liberal seat in the state.

A diverse electorate, the seat of Dawesville takes in the ritzy canal developments of Mandurah, as well as the battler suburbs of Dudley Park and Erskine.
It is also home to one of the oldest demographics in the state, with the average age 42.
