An ALDI customer has shared a bizarre find from a packet of chips, purchased from the supermarket.
Posting on a popular Facebook page, shopper Dani revealed that her mum made the discovery after opening a packet of Sprinters Chicken Flavour crisps.
Photos show a large fist-sized clump in the chips, which appears to be dark and burnt.

Fellow ALDI fans were baffled by the find.
What on Earth is that? asked one shopper on the Aldi Mums Facebook page.

Added another: Looks like a huge chunk of seasoning. I hope!
Said a third: Is that a schnitzel?
Others were pretty relaxed about the incident.
Ive never had any issues, but Im pretty sure it not just Aldi – they dont control the factories and how they make the product. This happens with all shops. Just poor luck really, said another.

An ALDI spokesperson explained exactly what the cluster was, solving the mystery.
Our Customer Service Team has been in contact with the customer regarding the Sprinters Chicken Flavoured snack, an ALDI Australia spokesperson said.
In partnership with our supplier partner, we have found that the cluster is the result of fried product particles that have combined together.
This type of product issue is highly unusual and we apologise for this experience. We will continue to work with our supplier partner on maintaining our stringent manufacturing and quality standards.
