One new coronavirus case recorded in Victoria on the first day of lockdown
One new locally acquired case of coronavirus has been recorded on the first day of Victoria’s five-day lockdown to halt the spread of the highly infectious UK variant.
Key points:
- It is not yet clear if the new case is linked to the airport Holiday Inn outbreak
- Victorians are under stage four restrictions, which means people must stay within 5km of home and masks must be worn at all times
