“Mildred Pierce” duo Kate Winslet and Guy Pearce will reunite on HBO’s upcoming limited series “Mare of Easttown”. Pearce replaces Ben Miles after the actor left the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Winslet plays Mare Sheehan, a small-town Pennsylvania detective whose life crumbles around her as she investigates a local murder. Pearce will play Richard Ryan, a visiting creative writing professor who award-winning novel 25 years ago but hasn’t been able to live up to his early promise.
