The comments come amid rising tension between Fortescue, Mineral Resources and others over the divvy up of export capacity at Port Hedland.
Mr Ellison and Fortescue founder and chairman Andrew Forrest have previously clashed in what turned out to be a three-way battle for Atlas Iron that was ultimately won by Gina Rineharts Hancock Prospecting, and also involved shipping capacity at Port Hedland.
