It has only been a few days since a picture of the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX leaked online. While the picture, published on Chiphell, merely confirmed the name of the processor, Videocardz has got its hands on specifications for the whole product stack.
Based on the image below, the Threadripper PRO 3000 series will support up to eight modules of DDR4 RAM running at 3,200 MHz and 128 lanes of PCIe 4.0. Additionally, all SKUs will have 280 W TDPs.
As expected, the 3995WX is the top tier model. According to the information provided by Videocardz, the processor will have 64 cores and 128 threads, along with 288 MB of combined L2 and L3 cache. The 3995WX will have a 2.7 GHz base clock that it can boost up to 4.2 GHz, also. The SKU below that is the 3975WX with 32 cores. This processor has base and boost clock speeds of 3.5 GHz and 4.2 GHz respectively, as well as 144 MB of cache.
While the 3995WX and 3975WX have the same core counts as their consumer counterparts, the Threadripper PRO 3000 series does not stop there. AMD also has the 3955WX and 3945WX in development, which are 16 and 12 core processors, respectively. Both chips share a 4.3 GHz boost clock, but the 3945WX has a 100 MHz higher base clock at 4.0 GHz. On the other hand, the 3955WX has 72 MB of cache to the 70 MB of the 3945WX.
There is no word on pricing at the time of writing. However, AMD is rumoured to be announcing the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3000 series on July 14.
