Australian shares have recovered some of Wednesday’s losses, while bitcoin hit another record high and US markets took a breather after rising sharply for several days.
By 10:20am AEDT, the benchmark ASX 200 was up (+0.6pc) to 6,859. The broader All Ordinaries index had risen (+0.5pc) to 7,136 points.
Some of today’s best performing stocks were Challenger (+1.3pc), Boral (+2.2pc), Mineral Resource (+2.1pc) and Evolution Mining (+2.3pc).
